About

Gigaverse is a fully on-chain role-playing game on Abstract, built by the GLHFers team led by founder Dith. Described by its creators as "a love letter to pixel RPGs," it combines dungeon crawling, rock-paper-scissors-style combat, crafting, fishing, and PvP into one of the most successful crypto-native games to date.

The game emerged from the GLHFers NFT community, an 888-supply Ethereum genesis collection built to attract "real gamers, not flippers"; GLHFers holders received early access, priority ROM minting, and in-game perks, which helped seed an active, retained player base. Gigaverse launched exclusively on Abstract, and its mint sold out in 10 minutes — an early signal that convinced Dith and co-founder Garnish to build the game full-time.

As of its 200-day milestone (September 2025), Gigaverse reported 75,000+ paid player accounts, a 10M annualized revenue trajectory, and standing as the #1 game on Abstract by active users — figures that made it Abstract's flagship gaming application and a proof point that on-chain games can compete without hiding their crypto mechanics.

Gameplay mechanics

Dungeon runs start from Floor 1 with no checkpoints — players fight upward each run, earning Dungeon Scraps (soulbound, used to level characters) and GIGA shards (used to progress the multi-universe system). Combat is rock-paper-scissors-inspired: Sword beats Magic (4 Attack/0 Armor), Shield beats Sword (0 Attack/4 Armor), Magic beats Shield (2 Attack/2 Armor); players start with 12 HP and 2 Armor. Players receive roughly 240 energy per day (six runs); Giga ROM NFT holders get energy boosts. All game state, including loot and combat RNG (via VRF), is recorded on-chain rather than resolved by centralized servers.

Assets

Gigaverse's onchain RPG economy runs on tradeable NFT collections. Gigaverse Items are the in-game equipment, consumables, and cosmetics, and Gigaverse ROM NFTs are the core utility collectibles that boost play and fund development. Both are asset collections of the one Gigaverse game rather than separate projects.
