Faction Wars Ignite as Gigaverse Launches Second Conquest
Conquest 2 goes live today: capture tiles, earn stubs, outplay rival factions on a new asymmetric map in a fast 4-day, team-based PvP competition.

Gigaverse’s second Conquest event goes live today at 18:00 UTC, introducing a fresh round of strategic, team-based competition for all faction members. Players will once again work together to capture tiles across a dynamic map, using faction-earned resources—called stubs—to influence control.
How to Play Conquest — The Essentials
Capture Territory on the Map
Conquest is an asynchronous, turn-based territory control mode. Your faction competes to capture hex-tiles on a shared map.
Use Stubs to Influence Tiles
- Spend your faction’s stubs to increase a tile’s power.
- Spend enemy faction stubs to decrease their tile power.
- Spent stubs are permanently gone, so choose carefully.
Earn Faction Stubs
You collect stubs by:
-
Fishing: every fish always drops stubs.
-
Defeating Echoes in dungeons.
Each stub corresponds to a specific faction.
What’s New This Round
This updated version introduces several key enhancements:
-
One hour turns, keeping gameplay fast and tactical.
-
A four day competition cycle, running from today until Tuesday, December 16th.
-
Reworked stub earnings, now directly tied to dungeon Echo battles and fishing activities.
-
A new asymmetric map layout, adding greater strategic depth.
-
Strategic tiles marked with “+” symbols, indicating higher point values.
-
A balancing system that redistributes more stubs from larger factions to their opponents, ensuring fair and dynamic matchups.

Why This Game Mode Matters
Conquest represents Gigaverse’s first fully team based PvP experience, giving real meaning to faction identity and collaboration.
It's also a call back event that wasn't originally a planned effort by the team. Based on user responses, they chose to expand on this game mode.
Even with the recent hatching of mounts from the gigling eggs, this repeat limited run event shows the range the Gigaverse team has in ability to deliver both what they intend, and what the community supports as well.
Conclusion
The Conquest 2 playtest begins today, Friday, Dec 12 at 18:00 UTC, and runs for four days until Tuesday, Dec 16.
