0xDith Teases Gigaverse's 'The Awakening' Event With Dungeon, Fishing Updates

Gigaverse co-founder 0xdith announced plans for a new event called "The Awakening," teasing updates to two of the game's most popular modes: dungeons and fishing.

The announcement, posted on Aug. 2, 2026, says details will be shared "this week" — the week beginning Monday, Aug. 3. "I've been v much enjoying the changes to them both and think you will too," 0xdith said, without specifying when the event will take place.

Gigaverse is a crypto RPG built on the Abstract blockchain. This is the second time the event has been teased: on July 24, 0xdith said the team had "been playtesting an upcoming event that involves several updates to Gigaverse's two most played game modes; fishing + dungeons" — the same two modes, without a name attached. The Aug. 2 post is the first to name it.

This is the latest in a series of gameplay updates from the Gigaverse team. Earlier this year, the project introduced a deflationary breeding mechanic for Gigling Racing and wrapped up its first Gigathon hackathon.

No date for the event itself has been given.
