Gigaverse Founder 0xDith: Risk-2-Earn Should Reward Risk, Not Outcomes
0xdith, founder of Abstract blockchain RPG Gigaverse, shared his view on risk-2-earn game design on June 18, 2026. He argued that such games should reward players based on risk taken, not outcomes, drawing parallels to Hyperliquid's airdrop criteria.
"If risk-2-earn type games follow the hyperliquid airdrop criteria, then you basically must reward the highest spending, and most-often losing players. Basically: reward risk taken, not outcomes. Retained 'losing players' are the most valuable for risk-2-earn games," he wrote.
0xdith is the co-founder of Gigaverse and GLHFers, two prominent gaming projects on Abstract. Gigaverse has attracted over 75,000 players and generated 10 million in marketplace volume. Dith previously worked at Stripe and served as Head of Business Development at Proof of Play, the studio behind Pirate Nation.
The comments add to ongoing discussions in the crypto gaming space about incentive structures and sustainability. No further announcements were made regarding Gigaverse's future plans.
