Gigaverse Concludes First Hackathon With 28 Project Submissions
Gigaverse, a crypto-native RPG on the Abstract blockchain, has concluded its first community hackathon, Gigathon 1. playgigaverse announced the results on July 24, 2026, noting that the competition drew 28 project submissions from a diverse pool of participants.
According to playgigaverse, the hackathon invited community developers to build on top of the Gigaverse ecosystem. 0xdith stated that the strength of the entries required several rounds of deliberation before winners could be finalized.
Gigaverse reported more than 75,000 paid player accounts as of its 200-day milestone in September 2025. Gigathon is the project's first structured initiative to encourage third-party development on its platform.
