Gigaverse Launches Awakening Event With Multiplier Rings, New Modes

Gigaverse's Awakening event is now live, co-founder 0xDith confirmed on Aug. 10, 2026. The event introduces rings as risk/reward multipliers, alongside updates to dungeon and fishing modes, new animations, and a refreshed UI.

The onchain RPG on Abstract is also running a prize competition tied to the event. Players can collect Hard Cores for a chance to win a share of the prize pot, which is seeded with 20,000 and grows via 50% of juice sales and Gigamarket trading fees during the event, according to an announcement from playgigaverse. Top performers will be immortalized in the "Hall of Noobs."

Gigaverse is a pixel-art MMO RPG built by the GLHFers team, co-founded by 0xDith and 0xgarnish. The Awakening was first teased earlier in August, with promises of dungeon and fishing overhauls. The event is now live, and players can jump into the new content directly in Gigaverse.

The prize pot will continue to expand as the competition progresses, with juice purchases and Gigamarket activity fueling the pool.
