Wolf Game

Wolf Game is the original risk-to-earn "stake-or-steal" GameFi NFT, now revived on Abstract. In its core loop, players stake Sheep to earn the in-game token WOOL, while Wolves can steal a cut of that yield — a tension between safe accumulation and predatory upside that defined the project.

What is Wolf Game

First launched on Ethereum in November 2021, Wolf Game became a landmark of the 2021-22 GameFi NFT wave, known as much for its on-chain drama as for its mechanics. It was later acquired in full from Pixel Vault by Daniel Maegaard (seedphrase), who is the current owner and creative lead and has rebuilt the game on Abstract under the studio Shiftless.

Gameplay

The revived game spans connected modes. Valley is the economic heart of the world, where players manage Sheep, Wolves, and resources. Caves: Dig & Dash is a separate risk-reward mode, and a further Peak mode has been teased. A pre-TGE WOOL farming campaign and a published roadmap tie the modes together into one progression.

Economy & Assets

The economy centers on WOOL, the token earned and spent across the modes. Four NFT collections back the game, all on Abstract: the main Wolf Game collection (Sheep and Wolves), Wolf Game Farmer, Wolf Game Gen2, and Wolf Game Valley/Land, which represents in-world land.

Team & Backing

Wolf Game is led by Daniel Maegaard (seedphrase) and built by his studio Shiftless, continuing one of GameFi's most recognizable NFT brands as a native Abstract title.
