Gigaverse co-founder downplays GIF views, shifts focus to YouTube

0xDith, co-founder of the Abstract-based crypto RPG Gigaverse, responded to @AbstractChain's milestone announcement by downplaying the significance of GIF view metrics and emphasizing YouTube as the team's primary focus.

In a post on July 27, 2026, 0xDith acknowledged that Giga Noob was mentioned in AbstractChain's highlight of Abstract IP reaching over 12 billion GIF views across projects. However, he argued that GIF views are "easy to game" and "don't drive conversions," making them the "least valuable metric."

Instead, 0xDith stated that Gigaverse is concentrating on "the most important metrics," with their "biggest bet" being YouTube. He said Gigaverse is "#1 here already" and is "now going after web2 leaders." The post does not say what category that ranking refers to.

The comments come after Gigaverse previously reported 1.7 million subscribers and 1 billion views across all channels on June 25, 2026. @AbstractChain’s own post put Giga Noob at almost 450 million GIF views.
