Cambria

Cambria is a risk-to-earn MMO on Abstract that blends RuneScape-inspired progression with player-owned Web3 economies, sovereign land, and high-stakes PvP. It originally launched on Ronin and has since expanded to Abstract, growing into one of onchain gaming's largest player economies, with lifetime risked volume surpassing 160M as of July 2026.

Gameplay spans three core modes: Gold Rush, a battle-royale-style PvE extraction mode where players gather resources and race to extract before rivals do; the Duel Arena, a ranked PvP hub where combat outcomes pay out based on opponent skill and betting volume; and Archipelagos, where Island holders govern sovereign land, setting taxation while settlers farm under their authority. Combat rewards timing and positioning over stat advantages, keeping progression skill-based.

The economy runs on player manufacturing and trade rather than a single emissions token — core NFTs generate craftable fragments, Islands produce taxable settler revenue, and goods flow from island refineries to mainland markets through treasuries and port fees. Cambria runs in defined seasons that refresh content and rebalance the economy, with an announced token launch intended to reward long-term NFT holders, Island holders, and active players.

Assets

Cambria ships its economy across several NFT collections rather than one token: Cambria Cores (fragment factories), Cambria Islands (sovereign land), Cambria Companions (pet NFTs), and Cambria Founder NFTs (early-supporter perks). All are collections of the single Cambria game, not separate projects.

Cambria Genesis on Ethereum

On October 5, 2026, Cambria announced Cambria Genesis, "on Ethereum mainnet," which it describes as an "MMORPG w/ massive onchain stakes," with its whitelist by invitation only.

The Genesis Founding Charters went on sale on October 8 at 0.06 ETH on Ethereum mainnet, with a priority whitelist first and a first-come, first-served round two hours later. Cambria posted the same day that the charters had "minted out." Cambria said charter traits would be revealed on Saturday, October 10.

$RSGP and Base

On October 9, 2026, Cambria's founder BEN.ZZZ (cyberpunk) posted "RSGP (playcambria) is coming to Base" and "Stay tuned," quoting a post from aeroxyz, and Cambria's account reposted it. The post is about the RSGP token. When this section was updated on October 13, Cambria had not announced a date, a contract address or how the token would reach Base.

Chain history

Cambria did not start on Ronin. It was originally built on Blast, an Ethereum layer 2. In September 2024 Sky Mavis named it one of the seven studios in the first cohort of Ronin Forge, its grants program, describing it as "a risk-based MMORPG on Blast." Cambria then expanded to Ronin, and its first season ran on both Blast and Ronin. From December 2024 players could mint Cambria Cores on Ronin. Cambria later expanded to Abstract. In October 2026 it launched Cambria Genesis and its Founding Charters on Ethereum mainnet, covered in the Cambria Genesis section of this page.

Leaving Blast and Abstract

On October 15, 2026, Cambria said that "Game functionality will be migrated off of the Blast and Abstract chains on October 19th at 11am ET," and that game treasuries and unclaimed Duel Arena stakes on those chains would be moved to Base and Ethereum mainnet "to prevent loss." Its documentation says Cambria ended support for Duel Arena on Blast and Abstract on October 19, that the funds were bridged to Ethereum and paid out on verified claims, and that "Ronin and Base are unaffected." The contracts for the Genesis MMO were not yet deployed and were not affected.

Since October 19, 2026, Cambria's game no longer runs on Abstract; of its chains, its documentation names Ronin and Base as the ones that continue. The opening paragraph of this page, which calls Cambria an MMO on Abstract, predates the move.
