Cambria Details Founding Charter Mechanics Ahead of Mint
Cambria founder cyberpunk published a thread on Oct. 7 clarifying the mechanics of Founding Charters, the OG asset in the playcambria mint currently underway on Abstract.
The FAQ addresses three questions raised by prospective buyers. First, playing the game is not a prerequisite: at least two deployment paths for Charters at launch will require no in-game activity beyond managing a bank or trading. Second, each Charter functions as a single unit of risk, meaning players can scale exposure — and potential reward — by acquiring and deploying multiple units.
The Founding 4,096 set, meanwhile, carries privileges beyond the standard Charter. According to cyberpunk, Founding Charters are required to issue new Charters, hold traits that are inherited downstream, and carry higher diplomacy and voting weight in the Outlands GvG loop that governs sovereignty. They also come with whitelist premium, which the team could use to gate future access to an OG set.
The clarification arrives as Cambria processes a large backlog of mint applications — cyberpunk noted on Oct. 7 that roughly 9,000 applications have been reviewed to date, with some still outstanding. Wave 1 approvals have already gone out, with the priority whitelist mint opening Oct. 8 at 11am ET and FCFS at 1pm ET at 0.06 ETH.
For context, Cambria is a risk-to-earn MMO on Abstract that blends RuneScape-inspired progression with sovereign land, PvP arenas, and player-driven economies. The game has surpassed 160M in lifetime risked volume as of July 2026.
Charters sit at the center of Cambria's new core loop, making the Founding set's issuance rights and governance weight the key variables for players weighing deployment strategies ahead of the Oct. 8 mint.
