Onchain Heroes is a strategic, fully-onchain idle RPG on Abstract where every decision matters. It pairs short daily play with long-term progression, putting real game mechanics, fair play, and true asset ownership directly onchain, and lends its name to the studio behind a growing family of Abstract games.

What is Onchain Heroes

Onchain Heroes is an idle RPG built around heroes and meaningful choices rather than constant grinding. The studio's design goal is to keep the core loop light enough for daily play while running the underlying mechanics fully onchain, so progress, ownership, and outcomes are verifiable rather than locked inside a private server.

Gameplay

Players guide heroes through an idle RPG loop of decisions, upgrades, and progression. Short daily actions compound over time, rewarding consistent strategy over raw playtime, with the emphasis on fair, transparent mechanics where each meaningful choice carries real weight.

Onchain Heroes is built around true asset ownership: in-game assets and progression live onchain on Abstract rather than as off-chain entries, so players hold what they earn. The fully-onchain design is core to the studio's pitch of fair, player-owned gameplay.

Onchain Heroes is built by the studio of the same name, founded and led by skarly. The same team also ships the onchain turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler Maze of Gains, a sibling title on Abstract.

Abstract wind-down

On October 8, 2026, Onchain Heroes told players that "Abstract is winding down, but your Ringbearers, heroes, and MoG keys are safe," that no action was needed for now, and that it would share next steps soon.

In the same weekly update it retired Marbles, the in-game item players used to earn Abstract XP, because that XP "no longer counts toward anything." It also let players with an active Expedition Pass cancel it for a pro-rata refund, paid in VALOR, for the days they had not used.
