The figure appears in a pixel-art graphic shared by the onchainheroes account, framed in the game's visual style. The post gives no further breakdown of how the pool is funded or distributed, beyond stating the total and the weekly reset schedule.

Context

Maze of Gains is a turn-based roguelike in which every run competes for one shared weekly ETH prize pool, playable on desktop and mobile and running fully onchain on Abstract. The Thursday reset window is not new: Onchain Heroes moved its weekly cutoff to Thursdays in late July 2026, ahead of the Maze of Gains 2.0 launch.

The $1,000,000 figure is a significant step up from the prize amounts the studio has advertised around recent events. Earlier pushes — including the MOG 2.0 launch event in early August, which carried a pool of just over $5,000, and a content bounty with $1,000+ in prizes — operated at a far smaller scale. The studio also opened its Deed Season event with Yield Fields on Sept. 17, offering 850 whitelist spots for the Deed mint.
