Maze of Gains Ends Dragma Event, Adjusts Throne and Orb Drops

Onchain Heroes' Maze of Gains deployed its latest weekly patch on Sept. 3, 2026, closing the Dragma Unleashed event and reworking several core gameplay systems.
The patch, announced via onchainheroes, marks the end of the Dragma Unleashed boss encounter — at least temporarily. Sir Jackalot is back as the final boss, but the tweet notes his return is also temporary.
Other notable changes include the Throne, which now only rolls rewards for full clears, meaning players must complete an entire run to qualify. Energy orbs and special room behavior were also tuned, and the update includes quality-of-life improvements alongside bug fixes.
Maze of Gains is an onchain turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler built on Abstract. Every run contributes to a shared weekly ETH prize pool, encouraging competitive depth rather than a fixed linear campaign.
The event rotation aligns with the game's seasonal model, where bosses and limited-time events cycle in and out. With Dragma on hiatus and Sir Jackalot holding the throne, players will need to adapt their strategies to the adjusted orb economy and stricter Throne payout conditions.
