Ruyui

Ruyui is an animation and gaming studio building on Abstract Chain, creating games and media set in a single original universe. The studio is led by co-founders Petek and Yan, whose stated ambition is to build Ruyui into a durable, recognizable entertainment IP without surrendering ownership through traditional publishing deals.

What is Ruyui

Ruyui combines animation and game development around one persistent world — the Ruyui universe — releasing games, lore, and media set inside it rather than disconnected titles. Its flagship and first playable chapter is Roots of Embervault, a top-down pixel-art soulslike RPG set in one of the universe's founding cities, covered in depth on its own entity page.

Ruyui Studios was founded by Petek and Yan and builds on Abstract Chain, with onchain systems such as Proof of Play-powered randomness integrated at the game level. Roots of Embervault is published by @YGGPlay (Yield Guild Games Play), which provides launchpad distribution and community access across the APAC region while Ruyui retains full IP ownership.

Moving to Ethereum

Ruyui Studios first signalled the move on October 6, 2026: "Needless to say, see you on ETH, details soon." On October 15 it published the plan, "Ruyui's Ethereum Era." With Abstract shutting down on December 15, 2026, the Ruyui NFT collection will move to Ethereum mainnet through a register-and-claim migration rather than a bridge.

Holders register a standard EVM claim wallet at hub.ruyui.com/migration; an Abstract Global Wallet cannot be used as the claim wallet. Trading and transfers on Abstract freeze on November 1 at 3:00 PM UTC, when a final ownership snapshot is taken. Ethereum mainnet claims open on November 3 at 3:00 PM UTC and close permanently on December 15 at 3:00 PM UTC, with no extensions or late claims. Any Ruyui still unclaimed then goes to the Ruyui treasury. Selling or transferring a registered Ruyui before the freeze cancels the holder's whole registration.

The studio also said an art upgrade and the reveal of Auras are planned on Ethereum for January 2027, and that a partnership with Unvault will make Ruyui an omnichain collection with Ethereum as its core home. Its game, Roots of Embervault (/tags/roots-of-embervault), is not moving to Ethereum: it will relaunch on Ronin.

On October 17, Ruyui posted that "15% of the supply is already registered for migration." The supply is the NFT collection, not a token. The dashboard it shared showed 1,057 of 7,000 Ruyui registered (15.1%), 156 of 1,000 Hub holder accounts signed, and none claimed yet, since claims do not open until November 3.
