Ruyui's move to Ethereum: register now, trading freezes Nov. 1
Ruyui registration for Ethereum Mainnet is open; Abstract trading freezes and the ownership snapshot is taken Nov. 1, claims open Nov. 3, and the deadline is Dec. 15.

Ruyui holders who want their NFTs on Ethereum Mainnet have to register first, and the first hard date is Nov. 1, when Abstract trading and transfers freeze. In a post on X titled "Ruyui's Ethereum Era", Ruyui Studios said registration opened Oct. 15. Abstract itself says "On December 15, Abstract will be shutting down." This guide covers who needs to act, the steps and the dates, as the project published them. The Ruyui entity page tracks the collection.
Who needs to act
The project's announcement says eligible Ruyuis are those held in wallets linked to your Ruyui Hub profile, staked or unstaked. Anyone who wants a Ruyui on Ethereum Mainnet has to register. The project says any Ruyui left unclaimed after the deadline is "permanently allocated to the Ruyui treasury."
How to register
Per the announcement, registration runs through the migration page at hub.ruyui.com/migration. The steps it lays out, per the announcement:
- Complete your Ruyui Hub profile, which includes connecting X and Discord, as the announcement describes it.
- Register an Ethereum claim wallet (announcement). The migration page detects your eligible Ruyuis. You confirm them, connect the receiving wallet, sign a wallet-link declaration and confirm the registration.
- Claim your Ruyuis on Ethereum Mainnet once claims open, per the announcement.
The profile step is no longer mandatory. voxelqueen wrote on Oct. 16 that after a holder asked not to connect socials to the Hub, "we added an option of skipping hub profile completion." The post says the option went in an hour after the article and is shown once you connect a wallet.
Two warnings from the announcement:
- The claim wallet cannot be an Abstract Global Wallet. The project's words: "Abstract Global Wallet CANNOT be used as the claim wallet." Use a standard EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby.
- Signing does not move anything. The announcement says "Signing does not transfer your NFTs or grant approval to move them"; the signature confirms your request and your chosen claim wallet.
The announcement mentions no fee for registering or claiming. Whether any network cost applies at claim time is not stated.
The timeline
The Nov. 1, Nov. 3 and Dec. 15 events are all at 3:00 PM UTC, per the announcement.
- Oct. 15: registration opens.
- Nov. 1: Abstract trading and transfers freeze, and the final ownership snapshot is taken.
- Nov. 3: claims open on Ethereum Mainnet.
- Dec. 15: the deadline. The announcement says there are no extensions, late-claim windows or manual recovery periods.
The Dec. 15 deadline matches Abstract's own shutdown date. Abstract's migration page says users have until Dec. 15, 2026 to move assets off the chain. Descout's guides on moving assets off Abstract and on the project deadlines holders face cover the wider picture.
If you sell or transfer before the freeze
The announcement is explicit about registered tokens. If a registered Ruyui is sold or transferred out of your Hub profile before trading freezes, "your entire migration registration will be cancelled," and you register again. The announcement advises completing planned sales or transfers before registering, and registering again before the final deadline if a registration is cancelled. The announcement does not say how it treats a Ruyui bought after registration opens.
Progress so far
On Oct. 17, Ruyui Studios posted that "15% of the supply is already registered for migration." The attached graphic carries no text description, so Descout does not report a token count. The project has not published a newer figure as of Oct. 21.
Scam caution
Everything above comes from the project's own account and Abstract's page. Registration happens at the Hub address the announcement gives, and the announcement says signing "does not transfer your NFTs or grant approval to move them". A prompt asking for a token approval or a transfer does not match the process the project describes. On Sept. 1, VQ (voxelqueen), listed as founder on the studio's team page, wrote that "everyone is receiving password reset requests" and that "No surprise mints or launches will ever happen" from VQ's own or the studio's account.
