Off The Grid is a free-to-play cyberpunk extraction/battle-royale shooter and the flagship title of studio Gunzilla Games.

What is Off The Grid

Off The Grid entered early access October 8, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, becoming the first AAA blockchain game released across console and PC. It is developed by @GunzillaGames, the independent studio co-founded by director Neill Blomkamp.

Gameplay

Players drop into extraction-royale matches, looting gear and evacuating with salvaged items called HEXes before the map closes in. The mode blends traditional battle-royale tension with an item economy players can actually own.

Economy & Assets

Off The Grid's economy runs on @GUNbyGUNZ, Gunzilla's own Avalanche Layer-1 blockchain, which launched its mainnet and native GUN token on March 31, 2025. GUN powers gameplay rewards, item trading, gear upgrades, and minting assets pulled from HEX loot boxes; it later expanded from Avalanche to also trade on Solana.
