About Gunzilla Games

Founded in March 2020, Gunzilla Games pairs traditional AAA production with Web3 economies. Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Neill Blomkamp (director of District 9 and Chappie) leads creative direction alongside CEO Vlad Korolev. The studio has raised over 100M across multiple rounds, including a round co-led by CoinFund and Avalanche's Blizzard Fund.

Products & Initiatives

Gunzilla's flagship title is @PlayOffTheGrid, a cyberpunk extraction/battle-royale shooter released in early access on PC and consoles. To power that game's player-owned economy, the studio built and operates @GUNbyGUNZ, its own Avalanche Layer-1 blockchain. Gunzilla also owns Game Informer, the veteran games-media publication.

Gunzilla's Avalanche relationship runs deep: Avalanche's Blizzard Fund co-led a funding round, and GUNZ was purpose-built on Avalanche subnet technology to host Off The Grid's economy, with backers including Republic Capital, Griffin Gaming Partners, Animoca Brands, CoinFund, and Morningstar Ventures.
