Eric Lu

Eric (Siyu) Lu is the Avalanche Foundation Lead Economist, a cryptoeconomist and data scientist with a PhD in financial economics. He previously worked as a cryptoeconomist and senior data scientist at TRM Labs and as a financial economist at Cornerstone Research. At the Foundation he researches protocol design, liquidity dynamics, staking economics and token models, and authored its August 2026 "Gross Chain Income" framework extending the earlier Gross Chain Product work.
