Team1 LatAm

Team1 LatAm is the Latin America chapter of Team1 (/tags/team1), the Avalanche Foundation's community and builder network.

About Team1 LatAm

The chapter traces back to grassroots developer workshops in Medellín, Colombia, organized by early community members before Team1 existed as a formal programme; that local activity grew into a regional network and was later folded in as Team1's official Latin America chapter. It now acts as an umbrella for the region, with country-specific chapters such as Team1 Colombia and Team1 Argentina slated to be rolled out underneath it as individual countries' communities mature. Team1 Brasil (/tags/team1-brasil) is a country-level chapter in the Team1 network.

Products & Initiatives

Team1 LatAm runs developer workshops, meetups, and builder-activation events across multiple countries, focused on education, mentorship, and connecting founders and contributors with the wider Avalanche ecosystem. Its programming addresses the region's specific context — limited access to traditional financial infrastructure — as a use case for what Avalanche can offer.

Partnerships

The chapter's stated aim is to connect local startups with international investors and partners, helping teams move from early prototypes toward products that reach global markets, and its community-led growth model has become a template that other Team1 chapters elsewhere have followed.
