About Sakura Swap
Last updated Jun 6, 2026
Sakura Swap is a Uniswap v2/v3-based decentralized exchange built for rapid, multi-chain deployment and live on the Abstract chain. Developed by Protofire and verified and owned by the Uniswap DAO, it is a standard Uniswap deployment rather than a novel protocol.
What is Sakura Swap
Sakura Swap is a decentralized exchange that lets users swap tokens and supply liquidity on Abstract. Rather than introducing new AMM mechanics, it packages the proven Uniswap v2 and v3 codebase for fast deployment across chains, with Abstract as one of its supported networks.
How It Works
Like any Uniswap-based DEX, Sakura Swap uses automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools instead of an order book. Liquidity providers deposit token pairs into pools, traders swap against those pools, and v3's concentrated liquidity lets providers focus capital within chosen price ranges for greater efficiency. Because it reuses the audited Uniswap contracts, its behavior mirrors the upstream protocol.
Ecosystem
Sakura Swap was built by Protofire, a development studio that deploys and maintains onchain infrastructure, and is verified and owned by the Uniswap DAO. That ownership ties the deployment to the broader Uniswap governance ecosystem rather than to an independent token or team.
