Thunes is a cross-border payments company whose network connects businesses, banks and fintechs to mobile wallets and bank accounts in more than 130 countries. In October 2026 Base said Thunes is integrating stablecoins across its global payout network on Base.

About Thunes

Thunes runs a Direct Global Network that members reach through a single API. Senders such as money transfer operators, fintechs, banks and digital platforms use it to pay out to bank accounts, mobile wallets and cash pickup points in local currency, without building a separate connection for each market.

Products & Initiatives

Thunes partnered with Circle to settle across its network in USDC around the clock, which Circle says cut multi-day pre-funding to minutes. In October 2025 it launched Pay-to-Stablecoin-Wallets, which extends the same API to payouts in USDC and USDT sent directly to stablecoin wallets. On October 19, 2026 the Base account said Thunes is integrating stablecoins across its global payout network on Base, and Base creator Jesse Pollak wrote that anyone can now send money home on Thunes using Base.

Partnerships

Circle is Thunes' stablecoin settlement partner for USDC. Base is the onchain network named for the October 2026 integration; neither company has published supported corridors or volumes for it.
