What Intain is
Intain is a structured-finance technology company that uses blockchain to administer securitizations and to run a marketplace for loan portfolios. Its marketplace runs on Intain's own Avalanche Layer 1 network. Its profile describes it as "a debt capital markets platform built on blockchain."
What is Intain
Intain was founded in 2018 and first used blockchain to streamline the administration of securitizations, according to Ledger Insights. By early 2020 its clients included WSFS Bank, a trustee administrator for asset-backed securities. That work led to Intain Markets, its marketplace for buying and selling loan portfolios, which first launched on a permissioned Avalanche subnet.
Digital Liquidity Gateway
On November 11, 2025, Intain and FIS launched the Digital Liquidity Gateway, a marketplace that lets roughly 2,000 US regional and community banks buy, sell and securitize loan portfolios. It runs on Intain's Avalanche Layer 1 network and connects to FIS core banking systems, so banks do not have to replace their existing technology. Avalanche's own blog, Ledger Insights and CoinDesk reported the launch.
In Avalanche coverage
The gateway came up again on November 4, 2026, when Team1 Brazil (team1br) shared that US community banks can sell loan portfolios on Avalanche through FIS and Intain. That post repeats the November 2025 launch rather than announcing anything new. Intain is the operator of the Avalanche network the marketplace runs on; FIS supplies the banking-software connection.
