What Centrifuge is
Centrifuge is a tokenization platform that brings real-world assets, such as funds and credit strategies, onchain for institutional issuers.
What is Centrifuge
Press coverage describes Centrifuge as a "tokenization platform" that supplies the blockchain infrastructure for funds run by traditional asset managers. In these products the asset manager issues and manages the fund, and Centrifuge provides the tokenization layer.
On Avalanche
In September 2026, New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) announced a US high-yield corporate bond strategy tokenized with Centrifuge. Reporting on the launch said the product is built on Avalanche with USDC subscriptions and redemptions. The launch was among the institutional announcements around the Avalanche Summit that month.
Beyond Avalanche
On October 27, 2026, Janus Henderson launched JQQQ, an issuer-sponsored onchain fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index on the Stellar blockchain. Janus Henderson issues and manages the fund, Centrifuge provides the infrastructure and Nasdaq licenses the index.
On November 3, 2026, Centrifuge and Pendle (/tags/pendle) announced they are bringing fixed-rate markets to real-world assets on Base (/tags/base-blockchain). Centrifuge said the collaboration lets its tokenized assets support fixed-yield positions and future yield trading. The Base account shared the announcement the same day.
