History

Beam began as the Merit Circle DAO. Merit Circle's own announcement states that "The Merit Circle DAO has created Beam, an ecosystem where gamers and developers come together to shape the future of the gaming industry." The organization has since rebranded into Beam: meritcircle.io now 308-redirects to onbeam.com. Merit Circle and Beam are therefore one organization across time, and this graph carries them as ONE node — "Merit Circle" is an alias of Beam, not a separate entity (ruling, 2026-09-04).

On 2025-05-22 Beam rebranded and now describes itself as an innovation lab 'unattached to specific chains'; its Avalanche footprint (subnet, Retro9000, Cascade) is retained as history.
