Arya.ag
What Arya.ag is
Arya.ag is India's largest agricultural warehousing business. In September 2026 it began putting grain deposits, warehouse receipts and loan status onto a dedicated Avalanche L1, so that lenders can verify the physical crops backing agricultural loans against a shared record rather than against paperwork.
The problem it targets
Agricultural lending against stored commodities depends on trusting that the collateral exists, is the stated grade, and has not been pledged twice. That verification has historically been paper-based and slow, which raises the cost of credit for farmers and cooperatives. Arya.ag's warehouses sit at the point where the grain is actually held, which is what makes the record it publishes meaningful.
The deployment
Arya.ag is standing up its own dedicated layer-1 network built with Avalanche technology rather than transacting on a shared public chain. A separate body, Finternet, is helping define the rules by which warehouses and lenders exchange information inside the system. The initiative was announced by Nandan Nilekani, Infosys co-founder and the project leader behind India's Aadhaar identity system, at the Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai.
Scale, and what the number means
Arya.ag holds roughly $2 billion of crops across its Indian warehouse network. That figure describes inventory under management, not lending that has moved onto the new system — a distinction the company has not quantified publicly.
