One week in: where Abstract's projects say they are going
A week after Abstract said it will shut down Dec. 15, Cambria's founder says its $RSGP token is coming to Base, Anichess has moved staking there, and Fugz says 88% of its collection is back on Ethereum.

Abstract announced on Oct. 6 that the chain will shut down on Dec. 15. A week on, the projects that have named a destination point to three chains, Ethereum, Base and ApeChain, and several have named none. Abstract's own migration page tells users that "any users that do not migrate their assets by this date will lose access to their funds." This piece collects what each project has said in its own words as of Oct. 13. Our Day-0 report covers the announcement itself, and our migration guide covers the user-side steps.
Gigaverse: closed, Redeem page still "shortly"
Legacy Gigaverse closed on Friday, Oct. 9 at 18:00 UTC as its Awakening event ended, per its FAQ. Eternal items are backed up and scanned for import into a Gigaverse Online account once the holder creates one and verifies ownership. Seasonal items "cease to exist at the end of The Awakening, except Cash-Out Items." Racing items "stay in your inventory after the close" and "do not move to Gigaverse Online."
On assets, the FAQ says Giglings stay in wallets while racing and dueling modes are paused, and that "ROMs stay in your wallet. ROMs 2.0 will move them to Ethereum." GIGABIT and Cash-Out Items will be "redeemable on Ethereum mainnet." On prizes, the FAQ says "The Redeem page returns shortly for boxes and Cash-Out Items" and gives no date; that line was still on the page when we checked on Oct. 13. Under the heading "Abstract Wind-down and your Gigaverse Assets," it says plans for a streamlined migration of the Gigaverse assets on Abstract, including Giglings, ROMs and Names, "are already underway." The FAQ does not say why Gigaverse closed.
In a post on Oct. 9, Gigaverse said the team was "bringing all the legacy contracts down, auditing the results of the event, getting redemptions ready," and was aiming to open prize redemptions the week of Oct. 12. It said the downtime runs until Gigaverse Online launches, with no date given, and that it will share details of the ROMs and Giglings migration "off of Abstract soon in a separate announcement." The ROMs move to Ethereum was not new that day: Web3Raider's Sept. 30 write-up of Gigaverse's end-of-Awakening reminder already listed a migration of ROMs from Abstract to Ethereum mainnet after prizes are claimed.
Player Sinet (@0xSinet) wrote on Oct. 9 that "all our progress, resources, etc. have been wiped" and that Gigaverse Online "will be a multi-chain game." That is a player's summary, not a Gigaverse announcement, and the FAQ says Eternal items are backed up for import.
Cambria: Charters on Ethereum; $RSGP heading to Base
Cambria confirmed on Oct. 8 that its Founding Charters had minted out. BlockchainGamerBiz reported on Oct. 12 that the 4,096 Charters, 512 Viceroys and 3,584 Citizen Charters, were minted on Ethereum and raised about $570,000. EGamers reported when the mint opened on Oct. 7 that all Charters will reside on Ethereum, alongside the existing 3,333 Island NFTs. See our notes on the Charter mechanics and on Cambria retiring its NFT collections.
Genesis was already described as an Ethereum project before the wind-down. On Oct. 5, @playcambria posted: "Cambria Genesis, on Ethereum mainnet." The post does not mention Abstract or a migration.
The $RSGP token has since gained a destination. On Oct. 9, Cambria founder BEN.ZZZ (@cyberpunk) posted "RSGP (playcambria) is coming to Base. Stay tuned," quoting an Aero post that read "Cleared for landing." The post covers the token only, not the Charters or Island NFTs, gives no date, and does not mention the Abstract wind-down. EGamers reported on Oct. 12 that Cambria had picked Base for the token and described an Oct. 13-14 launch as community speculation, not a Cambria date. As of Oct. 13 we found no Cambria announcement of a launch date.
Anichess: already on Base; OG pool and Checkpoints migration next
Anichess wrote on Oct. 8: "Abstract is winding down. Anichess already lives on Base, so your games carry on exactly as they are." The post says "The Public Staking Pool is already on Base," points stakers to a migration page, and tells anyone with "$CHECK still sitting on Abstract" to bridge it to Base through a Stargate link. It closes: "OG pool and Checkpoints migration is next, and it's our top priority," with no date for either. The Base move began earlier: EGamers reported on Aug. 25 that Anichess had opened an M8 points migration to Base.
Onchain Heroes: assets safe, no destination named
In its weekly patch notes on Oct. 8, Onchain Heroes said: "Abstract is winding down, but your Ringbearers, heroes, and MoG keys are safe. No action needed for now, and we'll share next steps soon." The post does not name a chain. See our beat from Oct. 8.
Separately, EGamers reported on Oct. 9 a new mint: Deeds, a utility NFT capped at 3,333 units and tied to the Yield Fields crossover, minted by the Yield Fields account on Robinhood Chain, with a gated mint on Oct. 12 and a public auction on Oct. 13. EGamers is our only source for those dates, and we did not find a first-party post confirming them. Deeds are a new collection, not a destination for the Ringbearers, heroes or keys, and no destination has been named for those.
Chimpers: Against All Odds cards to ApeChain, snapshot Nov. 30
ChimpersHQ posted on Oct. 7: "With Abstract winding down, AAO cards and packs will be moving to ApeChain." The snapshot is Nov. 30. Holders in regular wallets need no action, holders in an Abstract Global Wallet must move cards to a regular wallet before the snapshot, and trades after Nov. 30 "won't carry over." ChimpersHQ said there is no claim or migration site and pointed to Discord. More in our earlier report.
Fugz and Hamieverse: Ethereum moves already in motion
Fugz's Ethereum migration predates the wind-down. Founder Yot (yotdog69) announced on April 2 that Fugz was returning to Ethereum mainnet, and on June 19 said "now a little over 85% of the collection" had migrated. On Oct. 9 Yot posted: "4887/5555 Fugz are now on ETH. That's a little over 88% of the collection," adding, "We process migration submissions every 2 weeks." The project's migration page reads: "Connect your AGW to migrate your Fugz from Abstract, to our new contract on ETH mainnet."
On Oct. 8 the Fugz account said: "With Abstract winding down on December 15th, we're making a few changes to the Fugz migration process." Yot added the same day: "If a significant number of Fugz migrate before the deadline, a burn may not happen at all." He wrote that "ATM, the burn will happen, with over 700 unclaimed" and that "the final numbers will determine the final decision." The Oct. 9 count leaves 668 of 5,555 Fugz not yet on Ethereum. The posts do not say how the 700 and 668 figures relate or what the burn would cover.
Hamieverse founder Mateen (@MateenMohammed_) posted on Oct. 6: "Abstract is sunsetting, but nothing about our plans for Hamieverse changes. Genesis is moving to ETH, exactly as announced," with a snapshot on Oct. 20.
Moving, destination not yet named
Digitoys said on Oct. 8, in EGamers' account, that "Abstract, our current blockchain, is winding down and as a result Digitoys will be migrating to a new chain." GIGACHADBAT wrote, per EGamers: "After Delabs Play Season 2 ends, the journey on Abstract comes to an end." A new platform will be announced later, with no Season 2 end date given.
What the statements show
- Ethereum is the most common named destination. Gigaverse ROMs, Fugz, Hamieverse Genesis and the Cambria Charters are all described as Ethereum. Base is named for Anichess and the RSGP token, and ApeChain for the Chimpers cards.
- Several moves were announced before Oct. 6. Fugz in April, Anichess in August, the Gigaverse ROMs move on Sept. 30 and Cambria Genesis on Oct. 5. The later statements place them in the context of the wind-down rather than introducing them.
- The least detail is on assets still being planned. Onchain Heroes' game assets, the Gigaverse Giglings and Names, Digitoys and GIGACHADBAT have no stated destination or process in the sources above.
What to watch next, all taken from dates in the posts:
- Gigaverse. Prize redemptions, which the team aimed to open the week of Oct. 12, and the separate ROMs and Giglings migration announcement it promised.
- Hamieverse. The Genesis snapshot on Oct. 20.
- Fugz. The next two-week migration batch after the Oct. 9 count, and the burn decision.
- Cambria and Anichess. A RSGP launch date, and a start date for the Anichess OG pool and Checkpoints migration.
- Onchain Heroes. The "next steps" the studio said it would share.
- Chimpers and Abstract. The Nov. 30 Chimpers snapshot and the Dec. 15 shutdown.
