How to move your assets off Abstract before December 15
Abstract says funds not bridged off the chain by December 15, 2026 will be inaccessible, and its Migration Hub counts down to 00:00 UTC that day. Native withdrawals are quoted at 3 hours and at up to 24 hours, so start early.

Abstract announced on October 6, 2026 that the chain is shutting down, and that funds not bridged off by December 15, 2026 will be inaccessible. Details are as of October 6, 2026; recheck the Migration Hub before you act.
The deadline is 00:00 UTC on December 15
Abstract's announcement gives December 15th, 2026 as the shutdown date. The Migration Hub says users who do not migrate by then lose access to their funds, and suggests acting early.
The Hub's page code sets the shutdown time to 2026-12-15T00:00:00Z, and its countdown runs to that instant (Migration Hub). That is 00:00 UTC on December 15, which is 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST on December 14. Readers in the Americas should treat December 13 as their last full day (December 14 in UTC).
The Hub's terms, which open from the Terms of Service button in its footer, say restrictions on deposits and new activity, route initiation deadlines and completion deadlines can all fall before the shutdown date, with updated dates announced through Abstract's official channels. They also tell users not to count on a recovery option for assets left behind (Migration Hub terms).
Three routes off Abstract
The announcement names two official routes, the Migration Hub and the native bridge (announcement); the Hub adds three outside bridges under Alternative Bridges (Migration Hub).
- Migration Hub (migrate.abs.xyz). Connect the wallet that holds your funds on Abstract. Before it shows balances, the Hub asks you to review and sign its Terms of Service with that wallet. Its terms say assets do not move just because you connect or accept, that the Hub charges no usage fee (network and provider fees can still apply), and that it shows estimated fees and the amount you should receive before you authorize a transfer (Migration Hub terms).
- Native bridge (native-bridge.abs.xyz). On the bridge page, set the From network to Abstract, and the page switches to its withdraw view with Ethereum as the destination. Abstract's docs say the native bridge charges nothing beyond gas and carries ETH and other tokens (Abstract docs). The page has a Transfers tab and a notice about withdrawals available for claiming on Ethereum (native bridge).
- Outside bridges (Stargate, Relay, Jumper). Abstract's docs call third-party bridges typically faster and cheaper than the native bridge, with different security risks (Abstract docs), and list Stargate, Relay, Jumper, Symbiosis, thirdweb and deBridge (bridge list). As of October 6, 2026, each of the three the Hub names shows Abstract on its own pages. Stargate's source picker lists Abstract entries including ETH, USDT and USDC.e. Relay's supported-chains table lists Abstract with all tokens supported. Jumper's source-chain picker lists Abstract. Descout did not check Symbiosis, thirdweb or deBridge.
Timing: a 3-hour figure and a 24-hour figure
The announcement says native-bridge users should expect a 3-hour delay (announcement). The docs say withdrawals from Abstract to Ethereum currently take up to 24 hours because of a built-in withdrawal delay (Abstract docs). Descout has not found an Abstract page that reconciles the two, so plan around the longer one and start well before the deadline.
The Hub's terms say a source-chain confirmation may not complete a cross-chain transfer, since some routes add waiting periods or destination claims. They also say submitting before a deadline does not guarantee completion, fees can be charged on failed transactions, and a retry can create a second transaction with extra fees, so check a pending transfer's status in the official tools before repeating it. No extension, refund or recovery process is guaranteed unless one is expressly stated (Migration Hub terms).
NFTs, tokens, apps and Portal XP as of October 6, 2026
The Hub's terms say it supports only the assets, contract addresses and routes it displays as supported, that tokens with the same name or symbol can be different assets, and that a route may deliver a different representation of an asset. A token's absence from the Hub does not prove you hold none, so review other holdings yourself (Migration Hub terms).
According to the same terms, NFTs, unsupported tokens, staked or locked assets, liquidity positions, collateral, escrow and assets held through an app may need action outside the Hub, which does not close positions or discharge liabilities on its own. Users are told to follow the relevant app's or issuer's instructions (Migration Hub terms).
As of October 6, 2026, the Hub's All Project Specific Instructions section says no project instructions have been published yet (Migration Hub). The announcement says Abstract's engineering and ecosystem team will work with Abstract-based projects on moving to other chains (announcement). Recheck that section and each project's own channels.
On Portal XP, the Hub's terms say the migration services do not include tokens, airdrops, rewards, or redemption of XP, points, streaks or badges. For users who accept the terms, they commit the operator (Cube, Inc.) to keeping the existing XP record offchain until six calendar months after the chain's discontinuation date, whether or not the user migrates. They describe this as record retention only: XP need not stay visible, no token or reward right follows from it, and the record can be deleted earlier where applicable law, a valid deletion request or a binding privacy commitment requires it (Migration Hub terms). For how XP worked before the announcement, see our earlier Portal XP guide.
Staying safe while you migrate
Abstract's announcement warns about impersonation, fake migration sites and direct messages claiming to represent Abstract, and says to use only the official link and cross-check it with Discord and other official channels (announcement). The two addresses it gives are migrate.abs.xyz and native-bridge.abs.xyz. The Hub's terms name Abstract's official channels as its Abstract_Eco and AbstractChain X accounts plus its Discord, and say support staff will not ask for a seed phrase, private key or recovery secret (Migration Hub terms).
Treat any XP-reward or ETH-allocation offer as suspect unless it comes from the official channels named above. The Hub's terms say the migration services do not include rewards or redemption of XP, and that a replacement or additional official channel will be identified through an existing one (Migration Hub terms).
Before you sign, the same terms say to verify the destination chain, receiving address, receiving wallet's compatibility, token, amount and approval details. They say an Abstract smart-contract wallet address may not be usable or controlled by you on another chain, and not to reuse it as a destination unless the route expressly supports it and you have confirmed control. Approvals can let a contract spend specified assets, so read their scope. Stop sending deposits, exchange withdrawals and recurring payments to Abstract early enough to finish your exit before the deadlines (Migration Hub terms).
