Pudgy Penguins Pushes Vibes TCG Season 3 Into Target and Barnes & Noble Nationwide
A cryptic June 8 post promised "something special" without saying what. In the weeks since, Pudgy Penguins pushed its Vibes trading card game into national retail and shipped a KAST soulbound-token series — though it hasn't tied any of it to the original tease.

Pudgy Penguins pushed its Vibes trading card game into national retail in June. On June 19, the project said Vibes TCG Season 3 had launched in every US Target store, calling it the largest retail step yet for the game. Four days later, on June 23, it said Season 3 had reached Barnes & Noble stores nationwide.
The set, titled "Birb & Pengu," carries 195 new cards and guest appearances from Moonbirds characters, and is developed by Orange Cap Games in partnership with Pudgy Penguins. Cryptobriefing reported that more than 15 million Vibes cards were already in circulation before the Season 3 release, which follows Series 1 ("Enter the Huddle") and Series 2 ("Legend of the Lils"). Pudgy Penguins' own Vibes Checker tool confirms the cards are stocked at both Target and Barnes & Noble locations, and lets buyers find inventory, share their pulls and earn Pudgy World traits.
The retail push capped a run of releases earlier in June. On June 11, the project said a Vibes TCG Season 3 bundle box had gone live exclusively on Collector Crypt, available for 48 hours.
On June 16, Pudgy Penguins announced a set of commemorative Soulbound Tokens with KAST, framed around its Huddle community and growing Pengu Card user base. A report on the launch said the series spans three tiers, with eligibility set by how much holders use their Pengu Cards and tokens sent directly to eligible wallets.
The most forward-looking note came from the top. On June 24, CEO @LucaNetz said he wanted to put every web3 artist on a Vibes card and get those cards into major retailers. He framed it as a personal goal, with no timeline or confirmed program. Cryptobriefing notes Netz acquired Pudgy Penguins in 2022 and has cast the retail push as part of building a broader entertainment brand.
The cadence has been tight: the Collector Crypt bundle, the KAST token series, the Target rollout and the Barnes & Noble launch all landed inside roughly two weeks. Our read tracks Pudgy Penguins as Building.
What remains unconfirmed is an earlier tease. On June 8, @pudgypenguins posted an eye emoji and a link over an image of a penguin peeking out of a crate marked "vibes," with the line "something special is coming." The post did not say what was coming, and Pudgy Penguins has not publicly tied it to any of the drops that followed or said whether a separate announcement is still to come. Absent the project saying so, the card releases are not being treated here as the answer to that tease.
