Pudgy Penguins Kicks Off Global 'Pengu World Tour' Meetup Series

Pudgy Penguins introduced a global community meetup program called the Pengu World Tour on Aug. 3, describing it as "a global series of community-led meetups and IRL experiences, bringing the Huddle together across the world." (@pudgypenguins) In the ten days since, the project has run stops in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and formalized a five-city swing through Southeast and East Asia.

The tour's first stop landed the same day as the announcement. Pudgy Penguins' Asia account, PenguAsia, said the project's "first Pudgy Penguins popup in Malaysia brought together products, community and culture under one roof," in a post Pudgy Penguins shared to its main account. (@pudgypenguins)

The Asia leg

On Aug. 10, Pudgy Penguins formalized the tour's Asia route. "Pudgy Penguins is taking over Asia with community meetups. The Philippines. Vietnam. Singapore. Seoul. Bangkok," its Asia account wrote, adding that "at every stop, KAKAWOW boxes will be opened, cards will be pulled, and memories will be made together." Pudgy Penguins' main account shared the post with a two-word caption: "The journey begins." (@pudgypenguins) Pudgy Penguins joined Kakawow's trading-card platform in July, selling out its debut card presale within about three hours — the same KAKAWOW product the tour stops are now built around.

Two of the five Asia stops have already happened. Pudgy Penguins recapped a "Padel Rave" in Bangkok on Aug. 12, thanking co-hosting accounts AvaxTeam1 and SuperteamTH "for hosting with us and everyone who came." (@pudgypenguins) The next day, a Pudgy x Renaiss TCG meetup in Vietnam drew what Vietnam-based fan account Symphony_Young called a "full house," posting "FULL HOUSE IN VIETNAM!!" and "Pudgy x Renaiss TCG Meetup was PACKED today." A wider calendar

The tour extends beyond Asia. A public event calendar Pudgy Penguins maintains on Luma lists further meetups across North America, Europe and Africa — including stops in Riverside, California and Seattle in the US, Kyiv, and Lagos — alongside additional Asia dates in Taiwan and mainland China. The World Tour adds an in-person layer to a retail and commerce push Pudgy Penguins has run through 2026, after the project crossed 10,000 retail placements across the UK, US, Asia and Australia in July.
