How to claim Hamieverse Genesis on Ethereum before the Dec. 8 deadline - Tutorial and guide

Hamieverse opened its Genesis claim portal on Oct. 27, and claims must be submitted by Dec. 8, according to the project's announcement on X. The portal at migrate.hamieverse.com sets the cutoff at 23:59 UTC on that date, which is 6:59 p.m. EST. That is seven days before Abstract shuts down on Dec. 15. Our earlier guide was written before the portal existed and could not say where to claim, what it costs or when it closes. This guide covers those three points, using the portal's own wording. We have not run a claim ourselves.

Who needs to claim

On Oct. 14, Hamieverse told holders still in an Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) to transfer their Genesis to an EVM wallet before Oct. 20 at 23:59 UTC. On Oct. 21 it reported that 888 Genesis NFTs had migrated to Ethereum Mainnet, with 770 airdropped to 152 holders, and that holders who missed the deadline would be able to claim through a dedicated website.

The portal is that website. Its board lists Ethereum wallets as "Airdropped · no action needed" and Abstract wallets as "Claim now" (portal). The portal FAQ says: "If you moved it out of your Abstract wallet in time, it was already airdropped to the same address on Ethereum. Nothing to do." The portal's config shows claimEligibility: "current-abstract-owner-v1", so the claim is for Abstract wallets that still hold a Genesis that was not airdropped.

How to claim

This list expands on the portal's three steps (portal).

  1. Open the portal from the link in Hamieverse's X post or type migrate.hamieverse.com yourself.
  2. Connect your AGW; the portal's Abstract Global Wallet option reads "Sign in with email, Google or a passkey." It tells holders to use the Abstract wallet that holds the Genesis. If that wallet has nothing eligible, the portal shows "No Genesis to claim in this wallet" and says only Genesis that were not already airdropped can check in.
  3. Enter the Ethereum wallet address that should receive the NFT, typed twice. The portal warns that an Abstract address "won't work on Ethereum" and that exchange addresses may not show your Genesis, so it advises a wallet you control. It says hardware wallets work.
  4. Confirm the claim by signing one message. The portal says one claim covers all of the Genesis in the wallet and that seats are assigned automatically.
  5. Recheck the Ethereum address before you sign, because the live flow shows no way to change it after a claim is sent; the review step's "Edit" works only before you claim. Claim status appears when you reconnect the wallet, and live it shows "Checked in" or "Landed."

Cost and timing

The portal FAQ answers the cost question with "Nothing. Fare's on us," and elsewhere says "No payment required. We cover the fees." It also says connecting only checks your wallet and that no token approvals are required (portal).

On timing, the Oct. 27 post says airdrops "will be distributed in weekly waves." No dates are given for the waves, so reconnect your wallet after you submit to check the status.

Check the URL first

Migration claims are a common target for fake sites, so confirm the address before connecting a wallet. The only claim link in this guide is the one Hamieverse posted from its own account, migrate.hamieverse.com. The portal states: "We never ask for token approvals, seed phrases or payment." A page that asks for any of those is not this portal.

Not stated

  • What happens to Genesis that nobody claims by Dec. 8. After the deadline the portal shows "Genesis has moved. Claims closed." and "Checked in before the gate closed? Your Genesis is on its way to the address you gave." Neither line says anything about unclaimed Genesis (portal).
  • The wave schedule: which dates the weekly waves fall on (Oct. 27 post).
  • What happens to the Abstract original once a claim lands. Neither the portal nor the post addresses it.
  • Which costs "We cover the fees" includes. The portal does not break that down (portal).

For other assets, see our separate Abstract asset-move guide and the Abstract tag page. Abstract sets its own deadline on its migration page.
