Base's week: permissioned real estate, gold loans and fixed-rate RWA
A Groma real-estate token got a permissioned Uniswap pool on Base on Nov. 5; Coinbase added PAXG loans and Centrifuge and Pendle fixed-rate markets.

Our previous edition covered Base's stock-backed credit card and FalconX credit. This one covers Nov. 1 to 6, 2026, a stretch in which five separate real-world-asset or payments products were announced on Base. They differ in who issues the asset, who is allowed to use it and where it trades, so each is described below from its own source.
Groma's real-estate token gets a permissioned Uniswap pool
On Nov. 5 Uniswap posted that "a permissioned asset is live on the Uniswap AMM" for the first time, and that GromaCorp "has brought real estate issuance and redemption directly onto the protocol with the Permissioned Pools Hook." Groma's own post says the pool is on Base and that GromaCoin is the first asset to use the structure. Jesse Pollak shared the Uniswap post on Nov. 6 with the line "end to end RWA issuance and redemption onchain on @base".
Groma's accompanying article describes a permissioned GRO/USDC pool "allowing verified investors to purchase and redeem GromaCoin (GRO) directly with the Groma Real Estate Trust." It says GRO is "an equity stake in the Groma Real Estate Trust," which owns multifamily residential properties, and that the pool prices issuance and redemption at net asset value (NAV) instead of by supply and demand. Redemptions are described as "eligible redemptions," a qualifier the article does not define.
Uniswap's July 23 announcement of the hook standard explains the mechanism in general terms: the pool itself checks whether a wallet is approved before a swap or liquidity action, and "the issuer keeps control of the allowlist." The posts we reviewed do not say what verification Groma requires or who is on the list.
Coinbase lends USDC against PAXG, on Morpho
On Nov. 6 Coinbase announced that users can borrow USDC against PAX Gold, "powered by morpho, built on base." Morpho's post lists availability as US users excluding New York, and its blog post describes a new USDC|PAXG market on Base and calls PAXG, issued by Paxos, the first non-crypto collateral in Coinbase Borrow. Base separately posted that PAXG is live on Base. Our guide explains how the loans work. The lending runs through Coinbase and Morpho.
Centrifuge and Pendle: fixed rates for tokenized credit
On Nov. 3 Centrifuge wrote that it and Pendle are "bringing fixed-rate markets to real-world assets on Base". A follow-up the next day said the markets "start with $deJAAA, exposure to Janus Henderson's AAA CLO strategy," and that on Pendle holders can lock in a rate to maturity or trade the floating yield. Janus Henderson is the asset manager behind the strategy.
Pendle's Oct. 21 post had already listed deJAAA on Pendle with a "26 Nov 2026 maturity," and said the strategy exceeds $30 billion. That post does not mention Base. Neither account's posts name further assets or maturities.
Tokenized stocks: SPCXc on Aave, and a competition
On Nov. 4 Aave posted that SPCXc is "live on the Aave V4 market for Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on @base", that users can borrow USDC against it, and that tokenized stocks "are only available in eligible jurisdictions outside of the U.S." On Nov. 5 Base introduced Stocks Maxxing, "a one-month competition to build the next generation of tokenized stock products on Base," with "$100,000 in total prizes." The rules and dates are in our Stocks Maxxing guide. Our guide to borrowing against tokenized stocks covers the lending side.
Stripe adds USDC and OUSD payouts on Base
On Nov. 4 Stripe's crypto account wrote that US businesses can send stablecoin payouts to crypto wallets in "160+ markets" with Global Payouts, "typically arriving in minutes." Pollak described it as Stripe adding USDC and OUSD payouts on Base.
Stripe's documentation fills in the terms. Wallet payouts are in public preview, reach "more than 160 markets," and are open to US businesses except those in New York. Payouts are funded from a USD or USDC balance in a Stripe financial account. Base is on the supported-network list for both stablecoins: USDC is listed on nine networks and OUSD on four.
How the five differ
| Product | Who issues or operates | Who can use it | Venue |
|---|---|---|---|
| GRO/USDC pool | Groma | Verified investors, per Groma | Uniswap v4 on Base |
| PAXG loans | Paxos issues PAXG; Coinbase runs Borrow | US users excluding New York, per Morpho | Morpho market on Base |
| deJAAA fixed-rate markets | Centrifuge token on a Janus Henderson strategy | Not stated in the posts | Pendle |
| SPCXc borrowing | Coinbase Tokenized Stocks | Eligible jurisdictions outside the US, per Aave | Aave V4 on Base |
| USDC and OUSD payouts | Stripe | US businesses excluding New York, in public preview | Base, among other networks |
Still open
Groma has not said, in the material we read, what verification qualifies a wallet or how "eligible redemptions" are determined. Centrifuge and Pendle have not named a second asset or a user eligibility rule for deJAAA. The Nov. 26 maturity is the nearest dated event in the Pendle market. Base's Denim upgrade is covered separately in our news item.
