How DYLI's Trencher TCG Redemption Rail Works: Rip, Vault, or Ship - Tutorial and guide

DYLI, the marketplace for physical collectibles (/tags/dyli), turned on its first redemption path for Trencher TCG on Sept. 24, 2026. A collector holding a sealed Trencher pack now has three choices: rip it live on a DYLI stream, keep it vaulted, or ship it, which means redeeming the physical pack. DYLI framed the choices as "Live Rip, keep vaulted, or ship to your doorstep. The choice is yours." Trencher TCG's own account posted the same day, "The Trencher TCG redemption is now LIVE!! It's ripping season!!"

Trencher TCG is a trading-card game from Trencher, the artist Grizzle's project that began as a single internet comic and has grown into an "expanding universe of original characters, animations, stories, digital collectibles, trading cards, merchandise, and real-world events," per the project's own site. DYLI ran the Set 1 presale on Aug. 12, 2026, saying "Trencher TCG sold out after 7 minutes of public phase! Secondary trading is live now," which Descout covered at the time.

How redemption works

DYLI's homepage frames the model as "Collect digitally. Own physically." and says "Your collectibles stay in the DYLI vault until you want them shipped," with every item "yours to keep, trade, sell, or ship home" (homepage). DYLI's commerce API documentation names the chain underneath: "Each customer needs an Abstract wallet to receive items and sign transactions." That chain is changing. On Oct. 7, 2026, DYLI wrote that "Abstract, our current blockchain settlement layer, is winding down." In the same thread it added: "Our move from Abstract is underway. Your DYLI collectibles are safe, and the platform works as usual. No action is needed right now. We will share our new home and migration portal well before the December 15 deadline."

A follow-up post on launch day restated the options for a Trencher pack: "Buy some off the marketplace. Submit for Live Rips. Or redeem the physical pack. Live now."

  1. Live Rip. Submit the sealed pack to be opened live on a DYLI stream. DYLI's live page says a collector can "Send a sealed item from your collection to the stream," after which DYLI will "open it live and add the pulls to your account." Live Rip streams were paused on Sept. 29. After its 100th livestream, DYLI said it was "briefly pausing rip streams" and "locking in to build a bigger and better space for when our streams return as soon as possible," and added that pack rips "will still be recorded and sent to you as usual." The pause covers streams, not Trencher submissions. On Sept. 30 DYLI wrote that holders could "Submit Trencher TCG packs to join our special Live Rip" with the Trencher team "next week," and a Trencher post that DYLI quoted in the same thread set that stream for Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7 PM ET. DYLI's Oct. 5 posts called for Trencher submissions for a special Live Rip show that week ("Last call to submit your @TrencherStudio TCG packs") and told holders to "Click the 'Rip' button under the photo to submit." As of Oct. 7 the live page lists 9/30/2026 as its newest entry under "Recent streams."
  2. Keep it vaulted. Leave the pack in DYLI's custody. The Trencher listing's FAQ says packs can be "bought, sold, or traded without being physically shipped until the current owner chooses to redeem them." DYLI's boxes page describes a vaulted item as stored "in our vault while it remains in your collection, ready for you to sell, trade, or redeem later."
  3. Ship it. Redeem the physical pack and have DYLI mail it. The boxes FAQ says "Redeem the item from your collection whenever you're ready. DYLI will pack it at our vault and ship it to your address." The Trencher listing heads its redeem panel "Ship, rip, or grade," and its FAQ says cards "will ship worldwide, and tracking will be provided when the shipment is created," adding "Shipping timelines may vary by destination." Its "Estimate shipping" button opens a login prompt for a logged-out visitor, so no figure appears on the page. The commerce docs, in a passage on fees for storefront integrations, say "Box prices, card processing, gas and shipping still apply" (docs), so shipping is a cost.

Costs, as of Oct. 7, 2026

Live Rip submission (path 1). These are fees to have items in your collection opened live. Per DYLI's live page: $2 or 500 DYLI diamonds for a pack, $8 or 2000 for bundles and tins, $10 or 2500 for blind boxes, and $20 or 5000 for sealed boxes, each halved with "Hits Only," with indefinite storage included. The page does not mention Trencher.

Vault intake. The standard vault intake schedule on the vault page is $0.50 for an ungraded single card, $1 for a pack, $4 for a graded slab, $6 for a sealed box, and $30 for a case. The page lists further source-specific pricing: Whatnot orders at $3 per pack, $0.50 per loose single and $5 per Collectibles & Toys item; deck pricing of $8 per 60 cards from the same TCG or brand; 50% off submissions from eligible sources for TCG cards, packs, slabs and sealed products; and custom pricing for larger intakes.

What's not published yet

Two gaps stay open. On the pages cited here, DYLI has not published a price or delivery-time estimate for redeeming and shipping a Trencher pack (listing, boxes page); the listing's "Estimate shipping" button sits behind a login this guide did not test. And no cited DYLI post says whether regular Live Rip streams have resumed since the Sept. 29 pause.
