Pudgy Penguins Popup Returns to Seoul for KBW Pengu Playground
Pudgy Penguins is bringing its Pudgy Popup back to Seoul, setting up at Pengu Playground during Korea Blockchain Week on September 28, 2026. The activation, announced by the project's Asia-focused account @PenguAsia and amplified by pudgypenguins on September 26, will feature plushies and collectibles from the brand's merchandise line.
The popup lands inside a broader week of Pudgy Penguins programming tied to KBW, which runs September 28 through October 2. The project has already confirmed a Huddle event series in the city, a September 29 pickleball afternoon with @KASTxyz, and an October 1 Huddle hosted alongside fomo. Pengu Playground serves as the umbrella for the Seoul activations.
Physical Retail Push
Pudgy Penguins, an NFT collection of 8,888 penguin characters launched on Ethereum, has spent recent years repositioning itself as a consumer brand under Igloo Inc. Its physical toy line has sold more than 1.5 million units through retailers including Walmart and Target, and the project has leaned into licensed merchandise and pop-up retail in Asia — including its first Japan pop-up at Tokyo Dome City, which opened September 25.
The brand also operates Pengu Clash, its first skill-based multiplayer title, and maintains the PENGU token for ecosystem utility.
The Seoul popup adds another physical touchpoint to a market the project has been courting throughout September. What to watch next is whether the Pengu Playground slate translates into the Korean retail placements Pudgy Penguins teased earlier in the month.
