GUGO Miles Audit Recovers 136 Transactions, Catches Wallet-Hopping Seller
GUGO's Miles engine audit recovered 136 missing transactions and caught a wallet-hopping seller: "Miles don't care how clever you are. They only ask: did you stay?"

runwithgugo said July 8 it had completed a full audit of GUGO's on-chain Miles reward engine, recovering 98 missing token buys and 38 missing sells — 136 transactions in total — that the system had failed to credit, and backdating the recovered Miles to their actual on-chain dates rather than the audit date.
The Miles engine tracks on-chain buys and sells to award Miles, but two transaction types evaded its tracking entirely: purchases routed through aggregators, and purchases paid in stablecoins. Both were invisible to the Miles reader until this audit, per runwithgugo.
The same audit caught a holder who moved tokens to a fresh wallet to sell there and dodge the standard sell penalty. runwithgugo said the team traced the sale through its on-chain signature, applied the standard penalty — minus 2 Miles per dollar sold, plus exclusion from the current milestone — and restated the rule going forward: moving tokens out of a registered wallet to sell elsewhere counts as selling. "Miles don't care how clever you are," runwithgugo wrote. "They only ask: did you stay?"
The audit follows GUGO's July 3 relaunch on Abstract chain, which paired an animated series with the Miles system itself. runwithgugo published Episode 00, introducing characters Carl, Flops-a-lot, Polly and Varku alongside the $GUGO token, and described the relaunch as a continuation of the project: "This is only the beginning." Miles reward on-chain engagement, but only for holders who register in the project portal — holding without registering forfeits rewards. runwithgugo said original supporters retain their prior "memory" in the new system instead of starting over, provided they register.
GUGO's most recent step — a lifetime referral program announced July 10 — rewards members with 10% of every Mile a referred runner earns, per Descout's coverage.
