Blupets Follows Its Ethereum Reveal With a Canvas Customization Tool
After opening its reveal on Ethereum with no rarity tiers, Bunya's onchain pixel-pet project Blupets is shipping a Bluprint merge planner, an "unshaped" Origin pet, and a Canvas customization feature due next week.
Blupets, the onchain pixel-pet project on Ethereum from artist Bunya, is adding customization tools on top of its newly revealed NFT collection. On June 27, Bunya announced that the Blupix app would launch Canvas — a feature for community-driven customization of Blupets — the following week (the week of June 30), alongside a competition, and that a first version of a Collector Hub was nearing completion.
Blupets are "onchain pixel pets from the Blupix universe" that holders can reveal, merge, and evolve into new forms, according to the collection's OpenSea page. The reveal opened in mid-June. Bunya wrote that the Ethereum collection would launch "within 1-2 days," with no rarity tiers and traits assigned at random.
On June 22, the Blupix account introduced Origin, which it described as the first "unshaped" Blupet — one its trainer can reimagine — and presented it as new lore for the collection.
The reveal shipped with planning tools. On June 11, Bunya launched Bluprint, a preview tool for mapping out Merge evolution paths. Per his description, the mechanic has collectors gathering 8 Blupets of a single color and burning 7 to advance the eighth.
On June 12, Bunya posted that he was traveling to Kyiv for a Pudgy community event while deploying the Blupix website and preparing to share builder APIs for what he calls a fully onchain project.

Bunya has not said how Canvas customization will be priced or limited, or given a firm ship date for the Collector Hub beyond "nearing completion." Those details remain open.
