Avalanche Builder Hub's Audit Marketplace Subsidizes Up to 75%
Builder Hub's Audit Marketplace sends one audit request to its vetted firms at once — 17 per Builder Hub, 9 per marketplace operator Areta — with the program covering up to 75% of costs at $0 fees to builders.
Avalanche's Builder Hub runs an Audit Marketplace that routes a single security-audit request to a roster of vetted firms at once. Builder Hub's own audits page says the program "can pay up to 75%" of the cost, with "$0 fees" for builders, and that quotes "land within the 10-day window" once a request goes out — a direct subsidy layered on top of a one-stop intake, not just a directory of auditors.
The mechanics, per the same page: a request goes to "every whitelisted firm, or just the ones you choose," and quotes stay "private to you" until the builder picks one — competing bids without cold-emailing each firm separately. Builder Hub's firms directory lists 17 vetted auditors, among them Trail of Bits, Certora, Hexens and HackenProof, alongside BlockSec, Cantina, Cyfrin, Halborn, Nethermind, OpenZeppelin, Paladin, Zellic and others; the directory repeats the same mechanic in its own words: "One request reaches all of them, or only the ones you choose." It also states how the roster itself is maintained: firms "join the whitelist after Ava Labs' security review," and firms "that leave the program drop off this page."
Builder Hub — the documentation and tooling portal hosting the marketplace — is Ava Labs' own site; its footer credits it as "CRAFTED WITH ❤ BY THE AVA LABS DEVREL TEAM" and copyrights it to "AVA LABS, INC." (Descout tracks the team's public account as Avalanche Developers.) The marketplace technology is a separate build: Areta states on its own Avalanche page that the platform is "developed and operated by Areta," and that "requesting quotes is completely free for builders - no hidden costs." Areta tells builders to expect "10-12 quotes" back "within the first 48hrs of submitting your request" — a faster turnaround figure than appears on Builder Hub's own page. The two pages also disagree on roster size: Builder Hub counts "17 vetted firms," while Areta's page says "Instant access to 9 whitelisted auditors"; neither page explains the gap.
What Builder Hub hasn't specified
The up-to-75% figure and the fee waiver are stated program-wide, but no Builder Hub page we checked gives a blanket dollar ceiling. The only dollar figure we found across those pages is firm-specific — Trail of Bits' integration page says projects can "qualify for up to $10k in audit subsidies" through the marketplace — leaving open whether that cap is a Trail of Bits-specific term or the de facto ceiling across all 17 firms.
