Web3 Playboys Shares Game Update With First Boss, Leaderboard, and Weapon Progress

@WEB3Playboys has shared a mid-development progress report on its upcoming game, outlining several new features now in place as the project moves toward a fuller release.

The update confirms that the first boss encounter triggers at Wave 10, marking the completion of Stage 1. A global high score leaderboard has also been added, giving players a way to compete and track top performers across the community. Music and general settings are now functional, though the team notes that sound effects are not yet implemented.

On the combat side, all weapons are operational, with two still requiring minor adjustments before they are considered complete.

@WEB3Playboys is an NFT collection on the Abstract blockchain with a 3,000-piece supply, founded by ejr and animated by sloppy-pencil, the former Lead Animation Director for Rick & Morty. The project launched in August 2025 and sold out within hours, with a focus on dynamic, earned traits that bond permanently to each NFT.

No release date for the game has been announced. Further updates are expected as remaining features, including sound effects and weapon tweaks, are finalized.
