Web3 Playboys Reveals Gaming Partnership, Plushies, and Expansion Collection Plans

web3playboys shared a wide-ranging project update on March 8, outlining several concurrent initiatives across gaming, merchandise, and content development.

On the gaming front, the team confirmed it has begun working with an unnamed gaming development studio on a title described as "fun, addictive," and aligned with the project's adult humor brand identity. Separately, a previously teased mini-game featuring the project's Cheese character battling pigeons remains in active development, with the team noting a "unique" but undisclosed release plan.

Merchandise in Production

The first limited edition Cheese plush toy is currently in production, with the team expecting a sample within weeks. Upon quality approval, a limited run will be made available to both Web2 audiences and Web3 holders. The plush will include a pool of claimable on-chain traits, including rare 1/1 Cheese companion traits. T-shirt samples are also being sourced, with an initial design planned in two colorways — merch will similarly include claimable traits.

Rebranding and Expansion

The team's social channels have rebranded to "Zero to Hero" after a TikTok shadow ban, with the project citing long-term positioning toward a potential adult animated series deal as an additional motivation. An expansion collection introducing new characters is also in development, prompted by a recent viral animated video that highlighted the need for a broader cast.

The team indicated it needs approximately another week and a half before hosting a community Q&A space. web3playboys is a 3,000-supply NFT collection on Abstract, founded by ejr-nft and animated with involvement from sloppy-pencil, former Lead Animation Director for Rick & Morty.
