Team1 Türkiye Kicks Off UniTour #3 With Garanti BBVA Kripto Across Three Cities

team1tur has launched the third edition of its UniTour series in Türkiye, expanding its blockchain education push to three cities and six universities with more than twenty speakers scheduled across the run.

The Avalanche community chapter is running the programme in partnership with garantibbvakrp, the crypto arm of Turkish lender Garanti BBVA — a collaboration the team is returning to after previous editions. The tour kicked off on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026.

Part of a wider chapter network

Team1 is the Avalanche Foundation's global community and builder programme, organised into regional chapters that run local meetups, workshops, hackathon support and developer onboarding. avaxteam1 coordinates the network, while individual chapters such as Team1 Türkiye handle delivery on the ground.

Türkiye has been one of the more active markets for the programme, and the UniTour format — a multi-city university circuit rather than a single conference — is designed to reach students who may not otherwise encounter blockchain development tooling.

Garanti BBVA Kripto's involvement places a regulated banking institution alongside a grassroots education effort, a combination that has become more common in Türkiye as local interest in digital assets has grown.
