Pudgy Penguins to Host Singapore Huddle During Token2049

pudgypenguins is bringing its Huddle event series to Singapore, with a run of community programming scheduled from October 6 through October 9 to coincide with the Token2049 conference. The project announced the dates on September 27 and said RSVP details and a fuller schedule would follow.

Promotional artwork for the series, billed as a "Pengu World Tour: Token2049 Edition," lists sponsors including Tangem, WEEX, DYLI, Rice Robotics, Bitkub and Sanctum.

The Singapore stop extends a busy stretch of Asia-focused activity for the NFT brand. Pudgy Penguins is running a Huddle series in Seoul for Korea Blockchain Week from September 28 to October 2, and returned its Pudgy Popup to the city for a "Pengu Playground" activation on September 28. The project also opened its first Japanese pop-up at Tokyo Dome City on September 25, part of a broader retail expansion that has placed its toys with major mass-market distributors.

Context

Pudgy Penguins began as an 8,888-piece NFT collection on Ethereum before Luca Netz acquired it in April 2022 and repositioned it around consumer products and licensing under Igloo Inc. The project later launched the $PENGU token for governance and ecosystem utility.

Huddle events have become a recurring format for the brand, pairing meetups with merchandise drops and partner activations in cities hosting major crypto conferences.
