Pollak Touts Aave Tokenized-Stock Stability on Base Amid Volatility
Jesse Pollak (jessepollak), creator and lead of Base, amplified risk-analytics firm @LlamaRisk's data showing that tokenized equity markets on @Aave's Base deployment remained stable and fully functional during sharp volatility in US stocks on Nov. 5, 2026. Pollak quoted LlamaRisk's post on Nov. 6, writing that "stock-backed loans on base held up during market volatility."
According to LlamaRisk, which sets the market's risk parameters, roughly $15 million in tokenized stocks was supplied on Aave's Base market. Only $393 was liquidated during the session, and the market carried zero bad debt.
The largest moves among tokenized equities that day were Tesla (TSLA) at -10.4%, SPCX at -8.5%, Nvidia (NVDA) at -7.0%, Meta (META) at -3.6% and Microsoft (MSFT) at -2.7%. LlamaRisk framed the outcome as evidence its parameters held as designed.
Base is the Ethereum Layer-2 network incubated by Coinbase and led by Pollak. Tokenized stocks on Base reached a record of more than $144 million in daily volume on Nov. 5, the same day, according to a Blockworks-sourced chart shared by baseposting.
LlamaRisk directed users to a live dashboard tracking every position in the Aave market. What to watch: whether supply and borrow activity in tokenized equities on Base continues to grow through subsequent swings, and whether other lending venues follow with similar collateral listings.
