Lake Bears and Salmon Launches on The Grotto L1 With BANDS Token Integration

Lake Bears and Salmon, a multiplayer free-for-all game, has launched on The Grotto L1, as announced by @AvaxTeam1 on Sept 3, 2026.

The game supports up to four players competing on an open lake filled with creatures, federal agents, and other enemies. Players can fish, hunt, and upgrade their pontoon boat in an adventure that integrates the BANDS token for in-game purchases.

According to the game's creator @Wrathtank_avax, the shop is fully supported by the BANDS token, which can purchase cosmetics and upgrades. The system automatically purchases BANDS from AVAX, bridges them to The Grotto, and burns them on the L1. The game is free to play.

The Grotto L1 is a custom subnet built on the Avalanche network. This launch marks the latest addition to the ecosystem's growing gaming portfolio.
