Goal Buddy Launches Open-Source Tool for Codex /goal Command

Toli Bear (tolibear_) has launched Goal Buddy, an open-source tool that prepares goal.md and state files for the Codex /goal command. The tool allows users to extend goals into GitHub, Slack, Linear, or any custom workflow.
Goal Buddy has already garnered 148 GitHub stars from teams at major companies including Shopify, Tencent, and Zendesk. The tool is designed to be fully open-source and extendable, enabling developers to integrate goal tracking into their existing tools and pipelines.
Toli is a 14-year veteran founder who previously scaled Drip Rewards to nearly 3 million members across 1,100+ communities. He is also co-founder of Bearish, a builder-focused Web3 brand on the Abstract blockchain, and Xeet AI.
The launch comes amid growing interest in AI-assisted development workflows, with Codex emerging as a popular coding assistant. Goal Buddy aims to streamline how teams define and track goals within their development process.
The project is available now on GitHub for anyone to use or contribute to.
