Base Tokenized Stocks Set Record $144M Daily Volume

Tokenized stocks on Base reached an all-time high daily trading volume of more than $144 million on Nov. 5, according to a chart circulated by baseposting and retweeted by Base creator jessepollak on Nov. 6.
The chart tracks daily volume for tokenized equities on the Coinbase-incubated Layer-2 from August through early November, with the Nov. 5 bar marking the series' peak.
The record extends a steady expansion of Base's tokenized-equity market. Base has grown its lineup from a handful of tickers to roughly 250 by early October, and it added 19 new tokenized stocks on Oct. 10 alongside a reported 500 million in weekly volume. On Nov. 4, the tokenized SpaceX stock SPCXc went live on the Aave V4 market for Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on Base, letting users outside the U.S. borrow USDC against the asset.
The volume milestone lands one day after base launched Stocks Maxxing, a month-long competition offering 100,000 in total prizes to teams building next-generation tokenized stock products on the network. Base also added Paxos' gold-backed PAXG as a live asset and Coinbase Borrow collateral on Nov. 6, further widening its real-world-asset footprint.
What to watch
Base has positioned tokenized equities as a flagship consumer and RWA use case, and the Stocks Maxxing program runs for one month with teams competing for its prize pool. Daily volume data for the coming weeks will show whether the Nov. 5 record holds as a new baseline or marks a single-session spike.
