Avalanche's Team1 Sets First Netherlands Event With Amsterdam Connect

Team1 (@AvaxTeam1), the Avalanche Foundation's global community and builder network, is expanding into the Netherlands with Connect Amsterdam, its first event in the country, set for Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, from 17:00 to 21:00 local time at Bar de Blauwe Keizer in Amsterdam.
The meetup is part of Team1's "Connect" event series and is positioned as an introduction to the local Avalanche community. Registration is open through the link shared with the announcement. Event materials list crypto publication Descout as a sponsor.
A chapter-driven network
Team1 operates as a collection of country and regional chapters under the Avalanche Foundation rather than a single central team, with each chapter running its own meetups, workshops and hackathon support under a shared identity. The programme's own tracks include the Team1 Builders Hub for early-stage Avalanche teams and Team1 Grants, a tiered funding line for community builders.
The Amsterdam date extends a run of geographic expansion. Team1 held its first UK event outside London in Chesterfield on Sept. 8, began an educational workshop for more than 100 students at Vietnam's UED on Sept. 9, and launched an official Korea chapter in August. Existing chapters include Brazil, India, LatAm, Nigeria and Türkiye.
What to watch
The Amsterdam turnout will be an early test of whether Team1 can convert a new market into a recurring local chapter, the model it has followed in Korea and Brazil. Registration remains open ahead of the Sept. 17 event.
