Helicon Lands on Mainnet

Helicon activated on Avalanche's C-Chain, bringing continuous execution for a faster C-Chain, auto-renewing staking and 48-hour minimum staking periods, according to team1-brasil, team1-india and team1-usa. The upgrade also tightened validator requirements and introduced a new avalanche-foundation reward curve.

Core (core) shipped support on day one, letting validators configure auto-renewed staking during setup and adjust those settings after their node is running. team1-india framed the release around network performance, scaling and validator support. The staking changes matter for operators: auto-renewal removes a manual step that previously forced validators to re-delegate on a schedule, and the 48-hour minimum shortens the commitment window.

Hyundai Card Pilot Reports 96% Faster Transfers

A Hyundai Card stablecoin pilot on Avalanche cut transfer times by more than 96%, per an American Banker report published Wednesday. The pilot is part of Hyundai's broader testing of blockchain infrastructure, and the reported figure is a rare quantified result from a payments trial rather than a proof-of-concept announcement.

It follows a run of institutional activity on the chain. Aave v4 has drawn more than $30 million in deposits on Avalanche, according to team1-latam, which hosted an online workshop on verifying AI agents on-chain. Aave V3 remains the largest protocol on Avalanche by TVL at $332.57M, with Uniswap V3 at $4.08M.
