LOL Land Opens Its Beach Day Board to Non-Holders Through July 9 - Analysis and insights

LOL Land's free-access window for its Beach Day board closes July 9. The Abstract-based board game opened Beach Day to players who do not hold the board's NFT from June 4 through July 9, @LOLLandGame posted, with no NFT required to play.

The offer temporarily drops the game's usual access gate. LOL Land's themed boards are normally entered by holding the matching board NFT; during a free-to-play window, players without that NFT can enter the featured board for free, @LOLLandGame wrote when it laid out the mechanic.

Beach Day is not the only board getting the treatment. The studio opened its Garden of Zen board to non-holders from June 18 through July 23, again with no NFT required, according to LOL Land. The two windows overlap, putting two of the game's boards inside a free trial at the same time.

LOL Land is the debut title from YGG Play, the publishing unit Yield Guild Games created for what it calls casual, crypto-native titles, and it runs on Abstract, Decrypt reported. The browser-based game launched exclusively on May 23, 2025 after more than 100,000 pre-registrations, PlayToEarn reported, and is a dice game spread across four launch boards — YGG City, Beach Day, Carnival and Ice World Wonderland — using Pudgy Penguins characters on Abstract, a chain built by Igloo Inc.

The game runs two modes. A free mode gives unlimited rolls with no token rewards, while a premium mode lets players buy rolls and earn points tied to a $10 million pool of YGG token rewards, PlayToEarn reported. LOL Land "requires no download and runs perfectly on any browser," its site states.

For a player, a free-access window is a way to try a normally NFT-gated board before buying the board's NFT. Our read tracks LOL Land as Building, at medium confidence.

The studio has not said whether free-to-play will rotate through the remaining boards after Garden of Zen, or on what schedule. The Beach Day and Garden of Zen posts set windows for specific boards without describing a standing policy.
