Waifu Sweeper Goes Free-to-Play on Abstract, Offers Free Naki and Energy
Waifu Sweeper, the Minesweeper-inspired skill-to-earn game on Abstract developed by Raitomira and published by YGG Play, has transitioned to a free-to-play model as of June 12, 2026. New users now receive the Naki Waifu character for free along with 300 energy to begin playing.
Previously requiring an NFT or token purchase to access, the game’s shift to free-to-play removes the upfront barrier, aiming to attract a broader audience to its logic-based puzzle boards. The game launched on Abstract in January 2026 as a second-party title under YGG Play’s Launchpad program.
The free-to-play rollout includes the initial energy grant, allowing players to try the game without any cost. Energy is used per play session, and additional energy can be earned or purchased. waifusweeper announced the change via a post on June 12, inviting users to try the game for free.
Waifu Sweeper combines classic Minesweeper tile-revealing mechanics with collectible anime Waifus, rewarding puzzle-solving skill rather than luck. The move to free-to-play could expand its player base on Abstract, where it competes in the “Casual Degen” genre.
