Waifu Sweeper Announces Permanent Shutdown on Abstract

Waifu Sweeper has officially ended operations, with the game no longer accessible after July 31, 2026. The team behind the Abstract-based puzzle game confirmed the shutdown in a farewell message to its community, thanking players for their support since its launch in January 2026.

Waifu Sweeper, developed by Raitomira and published by YGG Play, combined classic Minesweeper mechanics with collectible anime-style Waifus in a skill-to-earn format. Players navigated logic-based boards to earn rewards and climb weekly leaderboards.

The closure follows a broader sunset of YGG Play, which began winding down earlier in July. A final reminder issued on July 29 urged players to convert in-game points to YGG rewards before the deadline.

Waifu Sweeper was published under YGG Play's "Casual Degen" label. Yield Guild Games set July 31 as the last day of the YGG Play platform in its July 8 transition schedule.
