University of Memphis Athletics Launches GoTigersGo Rewards on Avalanche
The University of Memphis Athletics is launching GoTigersGo Rewards, a fan rewards program built by uptop_xyz, a raincards company, on Avalanche. The avax account announced the program on Sept. 10, 2026.
GoTigersGo Rewards gives Memphis fans additional ways to earn rewards for engaging with their teams. For sponsors, the program opens new channels to reach fans alongside clearer insight into engagement and activity around those interactions.
According to the announcement, bringing commerce into the experience moves fan engagement, sponsorship and payments closer together — positioning the rewards layer as a connective tissue between athletics programs, their supporters and the brands that back them.
Who is building it
Uptop develops fan engagement and rewards infrastructure for sports properties, while Rain (raincards) operates in the payments and card space. Avalanche is the Layer 1 network hosting the program.
Memphis is the latest collegiate athletics department to adopt the Uptop model on Avalanche. It follows Penn State Rewards, the Uptop-built fan platform for Penn State athletics that avax announced in August, and the NBA team rewards programs on Uptop that avax announced on Aug. 17, pointing to a repeatable deployment pattern for sports programs rather than a one-off integration.
What to watch
The immediate question is how quickly Memphis Athletics brings sponsors onto GoTigersGo Rewards and how fan participation scales in the opening months of the program. For Avalanche, each new athletics deployment adds consumer-facing activity on the network and a template that other university programs can replicate.
